PHOTO ALBUM
The photographer Antonio Orzáez was born in Madrid in 1933. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Barcelona.
The films screened at his school piqued his curiosity in cinema, which, many years later, led him to develop his creativity in that field. He started learning about the technical and craft aspects of the seventh art through a film editor friend of his. Finally, his professional career turned towards photography. He began as a freelance photojournalist while working in a photo lab, where he gained considerable experience in photo developing and printing. Later on, he specialised in artwork photography. At the same time, he knew how to capture the inner world of each artist, reflecting it through their works and environments.
This can be seen in the works he produced about artists like Miró, Villèlia, Picasso, Clavé and Tàpies, among others.
